Meeting-Debate "Health and Immigration"

I.B.I.S. Association along with the “Assessorato Provinciale” for immigration, ASL, S. Satta Library and AIDOS Sardegna organized a meeting-debate on “Health and Immigration”. 

The meeting will be held on 2nd December 2013, at 9:00 a.m., at the S. Satta Library Auditorium, in Nuoro. During the meeting, IBIS will present its research on “Health care services accessibility and usefulness by foreign users in Nuoro.”
 

 

Who we are

IBIS is a cultural and social promotion association established in November 2012 in Nuoro. It's an initiative of a group of people defined for carrying out socially useful activities for the benefit of its members as well as third parties.

It is managed and self-financed by its members, through unpaid and voluntary work.  The association is open to citizens and to all the democratic social components.

 

Our Objectives

Our principal purpose is to promote the wellness of the person in different dimensions, as well as to limit and prevent situations of isolation and marginalization.

To accomplish this goal, we propose:

  • to create a meeting place and initiatives for children and adults, for Italian and foreign citizens, with particular attention to those living in conditions of marginality and/or fragility;

  • to promote intergenerational integration by implementing initiatives to this purpose;

  • to organize services, and develop recreational, cultural, social and labor programs, with its members as targets and protagonists;

  • collaborate with institutions, entities, associations and schools within the territory, in compliance with our objectives and our Statute.

Our Services and Activities

  • counseling;

  • study, research and documentation;

  • trips, excursions and guided tours that focuses on historical, cultural, and natural interests;

  • conferences, seminars, debates, cultural events, social gatherings, exhibitions;

  • training and updating courses concerning our Statute and social issues.
